    Position Summary:

    Provide support to the assigned Team Leader and Loan Officers to develop, service, and expand business relationships and support the credit underwriting process. Primary duties include facilitating new and renewing credit requests as well as other aspect of the sales and service cycle.

    Essential Functions

    Essential Functions:

    • Coordinating with Loan Officers, Assistant Portfolio Managers and borrowers to gather all relevant credit and business information to include a summary of business operations, products, services, market, competition, principals’ experience and education. Credit information generally includes historical financial information, interim statements, listing and aging of receivables and backlog reports. Portfolio Managers complete these tasks by collaborating and coordinating their activities with Assistant Portfolio Managers and Loan Officers in teams which are designated as Customer Service Units (CSU).
    • Prepare pre-screening memos.
    • Prepare loan packages for submission to credit underwriting and approval.
    • Draft term sheets, proposal and commitment letters to prospects and existing clients.
    • Coordinate with Loan Officers and Assistant Portfolio Managers, borrowers, attorneys, appraisers, title companies, and others to facilitate closing and disbursement of loan funds. Pre-closing loan duties which are coordinated with the CSU include but are not limited to, setting up loan files, ordering title work and insurance, obtaining flood certifications, pulling credit reports, and coordinating activities with the Loan Administration Department for loan documentation and other collateral functions.
    • Review pre-closing documentation such as title reports, appraisal and environmental reports for adequacy and compliance with regulatory requirements and approval requirements.
    • Review loan documentation for accuracy and compliance with approval requirements prior to loan closing.
    • Assist with the ongoing maintenance needs of the CSU’s portfolio, including obtaining financial statements, testing covenants and other documentation and servicing needs.
    • Assist in the day-to-day collection activities and soundness of the CSU’s portfolio.
    • Remain familiar with bank products and services, and initiate new business banking relationships for bank.
    • Provide assistance to prospective and existing clients via in person, telephone and e-mail communications.
    • Provide assistance to the Loan Officer in all aspect of the sales and service cycle.



    • College degree with a major in Business, Economics, Finance, or other related field or High School degree and equivalent experience.
    • Must have at least 1 year experience in financial analysis and/or in a commercial lending environment.
    • Must possess a working knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
    • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent math ability and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Must be comfortable in a deadline driven goal oriented sales and service environment.
    • Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
    • Must have good working knowledge in loan documentation and perfection of liens.
    • Must have a working knowledge of bank regulations as it pertains to commercial lending.
    • PC proficient including Microsoft Office and the use of the Internet.
    • Some metro area travel required.
