Position Summary


Under minimal supervision, but following established policies and procedures performs a broad-range of operational management functions to include but not limited to: opening and closing branch, assisting with new accounts, processing transactions and selling bank products and services. Responds to questions and/or provides information upon request from customers (internal and external). Processes requests/transactions, as appropriate. Assist customers and potential customers in understanding and utilizing bank products and services. Responsible for daily branch operations. Responsible for the administration and supervision of branch activities and staff within established policies and guidelines.

Essential Functions

• Represents the bank to customers, non-customers and guests in person and by telephone in a courteous, professional manner.

• Provides accurate information to customers regarding bank services, products, policies and procedures.

• Manage FSC facility and staff in absence of client services branch manager.

• Manager daily operation of branch to include management of client accounts and establishing/implementing office procedures.

• Open client deposit accounts, i.e. preparing necessary documents, setting up internet access, ordering checks, and taking initial deposit.

• Cross-sells bank products and services.

• Assist in directing all branch operations, which includes planning, recommending, and implementing programs and policies, and providing general administrative direction..

• Assist in management and development of a FSC unit dedicated to alternative delivery services (i.e., Online banking, courier/overnight services, non-traditional banking services)

• Assist in development of plans, policies and procedures necessary to ensure deposit compliance and adequate return on client relationships.

• Assist in development of staff training and education to ensure quality client service.

• Daily overdrafts.

• Oversee daily balancing of branch cash and bank deposits.

• Oversee preparation and review of CTR and SAR’s.

• Perform monthly branch audits with branch staff.

• Ensure FSC Manager is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the bank, and of all important factors influencing them.

• Maintain daily contact with branch associates, providing support, input, feedback, and guidance concerning their daily duties.

• Monitor branch activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller and loan personal sales, new accounts, etc.

• Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures to maximize efficiency and quality of work, and to provide consistent quality service to clients.

• Daily review of management reports regarding new/closed accounts, account maintenance, kiting, large cash transaction, time deposit maturities.

• Review and/or perform staff evaluations with manager of client services along with promotions, transfers, terminations and reprimands.

• Other duties as assigned.




Minimum two (2) years' experience in a management position in a financial institution and/or a college degree with one (1) year management experience in an FI.

• Must demonstrate strong management, development and operational skills.

• Excellent math ability and attention to detail.

• PC proficient including Microsoft Office & the Internet.

• Extensive telephone work involved.

• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to promote and sell bank products and services.

• Ability to direct all functions of a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone, postage machine, etc.

• Some travel required.
