Position Summary

Under the direction of the SVP, Banking Operations and Partnerships, this position plans, organizes and directs multiple key functional areas and leads multi-disciplinary teams. Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to Item Processing, various Treasury Management products and Administrative support.  This position is responsible for ensuring delivery of operations services/products to internal and external customers. Will coordinate the various unit structures and allocate necessary resources, along with participation in long term planning for their respective areas.  Develops, recommends and implements departmental procedures and policies, ensures staff compliance with these and other corporate policies. Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money laundering requirements.  This position requires being able to operate at a highly effective and in an efficient environment where deadlines and an extraordinary level of client service dictates the pace of work.

Essential Functions

  • Develop, train and motivate staff according to company policies and procedures. Provide guidance to supervisory staff including conflicts, recruiting, training, scheduling, employee relations, performance appraisals and other related human resource activities.
  • Develop expertise in essential applications used by area. Be knowledgeable of software applications used on a daily basis in order to ensure applications are functioning to meet the requirements of the products supported. Collaborate with the SVP, Banking Operations and Partnerships on changes needed to the application and validate that requested changes are implemented correctly and the products/services being delivered meets the customers’ needs
  • Formulate solutions to complex problems and recommend possible resolutions. With guidance from SVP, Banking Operations, implement agreed upon solutions in an effective and timely manner
  • Evaluate and manage any operational issues, opportunities and development plans
  • Manage and lead projects related to functional areas, primarily related to, but not limited to, system conversions and installation of new processes. Coordinate with the SVP, Banking Operations and Partnerships to ensure project plans are developed. Assist in identifying problems or gaps and bring forth resolutions
  • Keeps informed of current rules, regulations and technological developments affecting functional areas
  • Review and approve timely all prepared reconciliations for the Operations area   e.g. Daily/ Monthly
  • Responsible for daily operational support in handling client calls, systemic maintenance, email correspondence between internal as well as external clients
  •  
  • Resolve more complex customer service inquiries and problems via telephone and/or e-mail. All customer complaints are to be shared with the SVP, Banking Operations and Partnerships
  • Provide functional and technical support for ISeDeposit, mDeposit, Positive Pay inquiries from clients to include but not limited to hardware and software at client sites, coordinate re-installs and annual reviews, new users, accounts and adjust daily deposit limits. Report all hardware and software issues to SVP, Banking Operations and Partnerships relating to all key functional areas
  • Selling and promotion of products or services. Will assess client needs and suggest/promote alternative products or services to clients and/or sales staff.
  • Responsible for the monthly processing of statements to vendor
  • Primary backup for Item Processing Supervisor
  • Primary backup for Operations Assistants
  • Primary backup for Sr. Operations Assistants
  • Primary backup for Business Solutions Administrator
  • Primary backup for Senior Operations Administrator
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • College degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related field of study.
  • At least 7 years of previous bank experience.
  • At least 4 years of management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Image payment technology(ies)
  • Working knowledge of FEDLINE for WEB and Fedline Advantage.
  • Strict attention to detail is required and an ability to work in a network environment. An understanding that all required tasks must be completed in a time sensitive manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook is a must
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines as necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
